We loved the author's first book ("I'm NOT Just a Scribble"), so when this one was pre-released, we got in on it right away. This talented artist/storyteller brings back her trademark endearing characters with their priceless expressions (my three year old daughter laughed out loud when she saw the first one). My artsy heart loves the lessons in color theory and the message of cooperation and collaboration will be appreciated by parents and teachers alike. The ideas for extension activities at the end help bring the story alive and are a great addition.

Love the story about working together to create something better. Bought this book for that reason and because my 5 yr old granddaughter knows combining primary colors make other colors...yellow + blue = green. Unfortunately the "blue" in my copy is definitely more purple...ok it's purple and I can't convince either grandchild, especially the 4 yr old, to just pretend. Makes it hard for me to get the moral of the story across but they enjoy reading it.

First off, the art inside is a visually catchy combination of photography and illustration. The words have solid rhymes and an interesting storyline beyond simply blending primary colors (which too many kids art picture books have already covered). I like that each color gets to shine individually, and have great art, as well as seeing that they can do more artistically when they work together.

I love the theme of teamwork mixed throughout the pages. Showing there are challenges and they can be overcome. The color combinations are fun and engaging.I can't wait to add this to my preschool library.

I absolutely love this book. Diane Alber does a great job of making simple art just beautiful. My granddaughter loved it and loves the "I'm Not Just a Scribble" book. I need to buy a ton more stickers because they all love to make little creatures with them. GREAT JOB and highly recommend Diane's books!

I would definitely recommend this book to all teachers educating k and 1 about colors and mixing. This was a wonderful book with good images, and a great message outside of color mixing! Awesome job!

I love books that have great messages without being preachy. This book was so much fun to read. I love the exercises at the end to help reinforce comprehension and create diagolue. The illustrations were amazing and so much fun. Now I want to go do some painting with my little one. I read the eBook but had to order the physical hardback. I collect books and this will be a great addition to our shelves along with the author's other book, I'm not just a Scribble.

My kids love these books (age 5 and 2). Shows them new ways to be creative. And that anything you make wheather it’s perfect or not is art.We love the whole series and if you haven’t checked out the other books you should!!Love the message about working together. And helped my son get to know the primary colors.
