I purchased this after reading the intro written by Ann Rice and thought it would be similar to 50 Shades, which I enjoyed. This was not reading enjoyment. A far cry from "soft porn", this was violent, graphic rape and abuse. I deleted this from my Kindle by chapter 4, as I was hoping it would obtain more of a story line...it does not.Very disappointed since Ms. Rice is one of my favorite authors. I will be sticking to her vampires, werewolves and witches.

Cheeky, naughty, and sexy, the Sleeping Beauty Trilogy was 100x better than "50 Shades of Juvenile Writing" ... I mean "Grey."

Spanking, more spanking, and then a bit more spanking. I still don't think the slaves are enjoying any of it. I'm just very sad for everyone involved.

Wow, a friend told me about these books. Once you pick one up you won't be able to put it down. Fifty shades of grey will seem like from here to eternity after you read this series.

Loved it. It took me a while to get into this book series because its something that I have never read before. I read the first one a year ago and hated it. So I thought I would give it another try because I expected what was going to happen the shock factor was lower and that fact that I was able to connect into this fantasy world. It was fantastic. I am used to reading books as I am the characters and this is one of those books I had to read as just a book. But WHOA some of the scenes are graphic and well written, after reading it the second time I was immerced in each book I couldn't put them down. I bought all of them and loved each one for different reasons. Way to go Anne I am glad I gave this a second shot.

Definitely for the sexually open minded adult reader only.

I had actually owned/read this trilogy a long time ago but wanted to get a new copy for myself. Anyone picking this up because they like Anne Rice (who is writing under the name A. N. Roquelaure) should be advised that this is not like her "normal" stories, such as The Vampire Chronicles. To be blunt, this is an erotica trilogy, and as such, there is a lot of explicit sex.

Beautifully illustrated book! I am a visual person so seeing all of the colorful watercolor pictures along with detailed information about each breed made this educational book so enjoyable too. Very informative beginners book about getting started as a chicken keeper. Written by someone who obviously knows chickens.My only negative, and this is just me, is that this book was based out of the UK, and I am from the US, but most of the information was still useful to me here in the US.I would recommend this book to other beginners wanting to get a backyard flock. After reading the book I am happy with the breed choices that I already made. I learned that all of my breeds will lay lots of eggs and most will be broody as well, in case I decide to raise a next generation of chicks from these.All in all a very enjoyable read!

Beautiful book HOWEVER I ordered 2 books each $12+ YET one book came with a HUGE $6 sticker on the front cover. (the sticker could not be removed) Thankfully I planned on keeping a copy for me. The listing should have BOLDLY stated that a non removable sticker was on one of the books (plus I should have only been charged $6 for that one!) You will not find more beautiful chicken illustrations anywhere.

Filled with luscious watercolor illustrations, The Illustrated Guide to Chickens by Celia Lewis is also loaded with helpful information about caring for the birds. I was surprised by the incredible variety in the species and delighted by the artist's skillful portrayal of them. A wonderful gift for art lovers, even if they don't raise chickens. Worth the full price for the wonderful illustrations alone, at the current 0.99cents offer its a no-brainer. As a novice who is intending to keep chickens, I can't comment on the accuracy or completeness of the text, but it appears good compared to other chicken books i have looked at. There is detailed information on each breed, plus information on chickens in general, coop space, diseases and their treatments etc.

I've read a lot of chicken books and the content of one sort of blends into the others, so I can't fairly rate the content of this book. But the watercolors paintings of the chickens are prolific and absolutely gorgeous! Worth the money for the illustrations alone. Beautiful, beautiful! Even paintings of the slightly different tints of each egg shell. Wonderful book!

I like the book because it is informative of the different breeds of Chickens breeds. It gives an overall knowledge of housing, keeping, feeding these birds. Very nice pictures of each breed with detail description was very helpful to me. It is easy to read and understandable by young children as well.

I really liked this book. I helped me to choose the breed of hens because of the great information in this book. Plus it has a great glossary of terms and table of contents. Loads of references!!

About the Author

Tom Watson lives in Chicago with his wife, daughter, and son. He also has a dog, as you could probably guess. The dog is a Labrador-Newfoundland mix. Tom says he looks like a Labrador with a bad perm. He wanted to name the dog "Put Your Shirt On" (please don't ask why), but he was outvoted by his family. The dog's name is Shadow. Early in his career Tom worked in politics, including a stint as the chief speechwriter for the governor of Ohio. This experience helped him develop the unique, storytelling narrative style of the Stick Dog books. More important, Tom's time in politics made him realize a very important thing: Kids are way smarter than adults. And it's a lot more fun and rewarding to write stories for them than to write speeches for grown-ups.

This day of epicurean discovery brings them to the world of donuts and coffee. Laden with useable dog wisdom, incredibly poor suggestions by the group handled with dignity and grace by Stick Dog and humorously frustrating attempts to extradite the donuts from their owner, the author subtly leads our hero to another rewarding solution. Kids and adults have to love the doggie reasoning solving the puzzle of transforming some eatable finds from deliciously chewable to digestive fulfillment.And a surprise, there's a bonus in the back of the book providing a preview of Tom Watsons` new series Stick Cat.

My son in sixth grade enjoys these books (so does Mom!) We are looking into the Stick Cat series next. Tom Watson brings the personalities and motives of this pack of dogs to life in their quest for obtaining and devouring human edibles.

Very funny story, the author states that his drawings aren't very great but you can't bug him and give him any trouble - he's trying his best to make a good story.The cover is hard and solid.

This series is fantastic! Stick Dog is by far one of my son's favorites! They are fun and silly and even make me laugh. Very cute! Love these books so much, we own them all AND preordered the next volume.

Another entertaining book in the series. My daughter enjoys reading about Stick Dog and was excited to receive the next book in the series, this did not disappoint!

My son says the book started good and then got really bad. So bad, he quit reading it. That’s a first for my bookworm.
